I have stayed with Gage to make sure his is not lonely or scared, but I am soooo tired. 3 am is going to get here soon. Now that he is asleep, I am going down to a reserved parent's room to get a little sleep. If he needs something, I can be here in a moment's notice.
We are all excited, but know the rough recovery road this will be. This is his fourth heart surgery, and none of the recoveries have been easy. With the IV's, wired chest, chest tubes, ventilator, catheters, a transplanted heart, and who know what else there will be, he will have a rough 7-14 days.
Thank you all for the comments, love and concern. It is a huge lift to Stacy and I.
May our Heavenly Father bless and somehow comfort the donor family.
Jason

Omg, I have been following your blog through Owen's may Gage rock this like Owen has! I have such admiration for you heart families! These little nuggets go,through so much, may Gage and your family sail through this! Prayers to you, your other heart warriors and the amazing donor families that give so much During the worst time of their lives!
You all have so many people praying for a great surgery and speedy recovery! ! Bless you all and the hands that will perform the surgery!
Hang in there and hopefully get some much needed rest! We pray for many blessings of peace, strength, rest, knowledge, confidence, and love as preparation begins for this journey. May He wrap his loving arms around each of you and provide you all with comfort. We pray....xoxoxoxo
Get some sleep. Those little sleep rooms are such a lifesaver. Gage is going to do great!
Love the haircuts to get your minds off what's really happening. Call it OCD, or a special way of dealing with stress..
Don't worry about sleep.. You are all running on adrenaline and good REM sleep will not come until after the surgery. Just keep this little guy happy, fearless and positive, stay hydrated and eat and rest with him, one eye open
Prayers for gage and your family, the donors family and the medical staff. May you all get good rest before surgery and feel Gods arms around you. Praying all goes smoothly and without complications.
There are many prayers out there for Gage and his family. Our prayers are included and have been from the start. We also pray for all those who will be involved in his surgery and care. And our prayers also go out to the donor family and their gift of love and life. May God be watching over all of them and guiding them in everything that they do.
Love and prayers to Gage, the surgery team, the Bingham family and to the donor family. There are so many of us across the planet sending collective prayers and good thoughts his way. We will check in again in a few hours. Hope you can all get some rest too. <3 <3 <3
Sending love and prayers your way, and praying for the donor family. You are wonderful!
