Update #4, 8:00 AM
Quick update, the VAD and old heart is out. The new heart is here. Everything is going smoothly. Thank you all for your countless prayers. I know we are being strengthened through them. My biggest fear has been set at ease and I feel peace and complete confidence he is going to be fine.

I've been trying to comment, but they must think I am a robot! At least God doesn't screen me, so my prayers have definitely been with you all. Your last post is an answer to all of our prayers, because your peace and confidence is a sure sign that all will be well. Huge blessings to your whole family, and Gage is "more than a conqueror!"
Give him an extra hug from all of us around the world. He'll be *so* relieved to wake up and have the hardest part behind him.
