The School Spring Concert

This school year, Sierra in the 5th grade, played the clarinet. We had to stop the violin and start the clarinet as the school did not have an orchestra only a band. She has enjoyed the clarinet very much and practices hard. She is starting to sound really good.

Megan being in the 4th grade, was able to play the recorder. She did very well and practiced hard as well. We will be glad when she gets to play a different instrument next year. We got to listen to them in a concert. They did very well!

The Baker Triathalon

May 7th was Baker's 3rd annual YMCA mini triathlon. My best work out buddy, Rhonda Fritz and I, participated in it last year and enjoyed it very much. This year, Jason decided to join us. It was a lot of fun. Jason is a great sport and had a good time as well.

He and I were in the same heat. Which worried me, because I really had been working hard to get in shape and I really wanted to beat him! I was really going to feel bad if he beat me, because he had not been training as hard as I had been. He ended up being the last one out of the pool. His last half lap the water was smooth as glass. I came in first out of the three of us and Rhonda came in right behind me with Jason right behind her.

We look forward to doing it again next year!!

The Annual North Powder Easter Egg Hunt

As always we attended the North Powder Easter egg hunt. The kids love this egg hunt. Sierra was no in the category of being too old to participate. So she was more than happy to help Megan and her other siblings find their eggs.
It has also been really fun having Bradey and Lacey and Justin and Emily here. The kids had fun hunting for eggs with their cousins. Great times!!

Gage "cheezing" it for the camera.

The bell has rung, let the games begin.

Gage and Lyndey

Hunter, Ayla and Mason

Lindsey and Keanna

Two Buddies, too Cute!!

We have had the opportunity to have my brother, Bradey and his family move closer to us. It has been so much fun. Hunter and his cousin Mason, look just alike. The weather is finally getting nice again, so they had an opportunity to play outside. I just thought this was too cute. They were taking straw and putting it in a puddle. Then they mixed it all together with a stick. This was a picture perfect "boy" thing!!

Easter Egg Hunt

This year it was very cold at our Easter egg hunt on horse back. We ended up having the lunch in the shop with a propane heater blasting heat to keep us warm. Still as always, it was a lot of fun. Lindsey had a little fever and ended up staying in the house for this hunt. we are wanting to get her feeling better!

Emily and Lyndi. Lyndi thinking this is not very fun in the cold.

Megan's turn.

It's Pinewood Car Derby Time!

We had our annual, no rules, pinewood derby. It was fun! Our creation did much better than last years model. We were pretty proud of it. It held up through all the races. We're #1, we're #1!! Here are some pictures of the competition:

Bishop was in charge of starting the races. Lindsey wanted an up close look.

And the winner is.....US!!

A look at the crew involved in making and watching the cars.

Megan's turn to get our car lined up on the race track.

This was just a funny random picture we took of Gage one Sunday. He was eating some cantaloupe and was so tired he fell asleep on Jason's shoulder while chewing it.

Lights, Camera, Action!!

It is Missoula Children's Theater time again. Once a year in March, the Missoula Children's Theater comes to the school from Missoula, MT. In one week they have try outs, create a cast and perform a play. It is pretty amazing to see it all in action.

This year all three girls received a part in the play. The name of the play was the Princess and the Pea. Lindsey was casted as a dust bunny. Megan and Sierra were ice villagers. They did a fabulous job and it was a lot of fun to watch. Way to go girls!!
