July 1, Sunday, Gage just went in.

5:30 pm.
Well Gage just went in.  Should take 2-3 hours.  Seems like the doctors were watching him closer than Lindsey.  Crazy.   His heart rate was getting so slow 35-45 beats per minute. His heart rate should be close to normal 120ish I think, after the pacemaker is put in.  One of our friends from the ward is Liz Niccum  who also happens to install pacemakers.  We met her 6 years ago and have become good friends over the years. Now she is in there with our 3 year old.  Lord works in mysterious ways.

Lindsey is doing ok... I guess. They are hoping to take Lindsey's ventilator out tomorrow morning. It is quite a balancing act with the meds, heart pressures, etc to keep her in balance. There seems to be a lot of optimism around her right now.

For Gage, they may take the vent out before tonight.  Stacy and I are kinda hoping they don't so we can get some sleep tonight before Lindsey starts waking up.  That may be a little selfish though. They will be bringing him back to the same room.

Stacy just went in to help with a dressing change on Lindsey.  Lindsey's nurse is constantly watching, monitoring, and adjusting IV's, pressures, vent, etc.  The hope is most of the stuff will come off as her body heals and improves.  Amazing to watch the Berlin Heart pump away.  The little bladder keeps on pumping.  I guess if a clot forms in the pump, they can switch the pump out.  They clamp the hose and replace the pump in 4-5 seconds. Yes seconds.  That would be a bit nerve racking for me to watch.

Humbling to see the amazing support for our little family. Stacy and I have enjoyed the cute pictures and notes from home.  I hope someday Stacy and I can help someone else out like others are helping us. Went to sacrament meeting today.  Bore my testimony about faith and hope. I have to keep a hope and faith that God really does hear our prayers. If we don't have that hope, what do we have? The Palo Alto Ward is very kind and helping us in so many ways.  So many people want to help and I just don't know what to say.  We got Skype working and was able to talk to Justin and Emily Bingham and Tiffany (Stacy's sister) and Hilary Cox. Hopefully they weren't to freaked out by Lindsey.

Doctors want to look more closely at any environmental issues.  Dr. Rosenthal is going to refer us to a 'toxin' specialist and review our situation.  For my and his peace of mind we want to review EVERYTHING about our life style, water, home, soil, chemicals, etc for anything that could be remotely related to heart/health issues.  I guess I just need the peace of mind mostly.  That's what Dads do right?  I may need some help in gathering information.  Just have to see.

Nice having Greg and Erin Ripplinger here. That was very thoughtful of them.  Jeff Yeck called.  I think he is ticked that Greg got here before he did.  They are both good college friends.

Still haven't heard back on the genetic testing. Still probably a month out or so.  Really no pictures to show. Lindsey looks exactly the same.  Pictures later as Gage comes back.  They will have to name CVICU Rooms 2335 and 2337 as the Bingham Estates. Still unbelievable, but this time maybe doable. Maybe God is in control.
I said this before, but what if Sierra's experience wasn't the end of a trial.  Maybe it was preparing us, all of us, for something bigger.  We have a lot to thank Sierra for.  I sure love my children, my wife, our community, our ward, our family, my old college buddies, the RMH, and extended family from Provo to Idaho to Logan to Korea.
God bless
Daddy

I know that you probably don't know me well. I am Ori Kern's aunt from La Grande. I worked with your dad when I the Stake Primary President. I just want you to know that I am praying for you and your family. Thanks for the blog updates. I feel so hepless and wish that I could somehow lighten your burden. But all I can do right now is offer my prayers on your family's behalf.

May God grace Lindsey, Gage, and family with so many needed blessings. And I pray that you do have the opportunity to receive the much needed sleep that you both need to continue to stay as strong as you are. (Jason I really don't think it is being selfish to ask for this....it is being smart knowing you need the strength to continue on!!) Believing will make all the difference. love and prayers--The Nedrow's

We are fasting and praying for you. We also told all of our children so they are praying too. Thanks for sharing specific things that we need to pray for. Your testimonies and strength are an inspiration to us.
