July 18, Wednesday, Unnerving!

9:30 am.
Crazy morning already. At 4:00 am she started forming a clot.  When I got here at around 7:45 they told me they were going to do a pump change at 10:30 am.  Rosenthal came in around 8:30 to look at it and couldn't see the clot they were talking about. Dr. Yeh came in to show him and he couldn't find it.  It was gone! The docs and a huge team of people talked outside her room and decided they didn't need to do a pump change.  That is very unnerving!  That means the large clot dislodged and went somewhere? They have been watching her mental function to see if she can control her eyes, arms, legs etc and so far so good. By now, where ever it went it should stay and dissolve.  But you could clearly see the concern in Rosenthals face.

And she threw up this morning, but that isn't unusual for kids on feeding tubes.

Other than that we are having a dandy morning. She is up and in a good mood (really). My sanity is in question though.

I would love to shave my chin hair.

Jason, you have every right to question your sanity...but we are all going to pray, and pray hard, and pray that you will be able to maintain some normalcy in a crazy situation!!! You have a zillion people praying and supporting you. Take a deep breath, and know that others are holding you up!! Have a great rest of the day....all of you!!!

Jason.......I thought maybe this would help your sanity:

One night a man had a dream.
He dreamed he was walking along
the beach with the Lord.

Across the dark sky flashed scenes from his life.
For each scene, he noticed
two sets of footprints in the sand,
one beloning to him and the other to the Lord.

When the last scene of his life flashed before him,
he looked back at the footprints in the sand.
He noticed that many times along the path of his life
there was only one set of footprints.
He also noticed that it happened at the
very lowest and saddest times in his life.
This bothered him and he questioned the Lord about it.

"Lord, you said that once I decided to follow you,
you'd walk with me all the way.
But I have noticed that during the most
troublesome times in my life there is
only one set of footprints.
I don't understand why when I needed you most
you would leave me."

The Lord replied "My precious, precious child,
I love you and would never leave you.
During your times of trial and suffereing,
when you see only one set of footprints in the sand,
it was then that I carried you."

Remember even though Lindsey is the one in the hospital The Lord is also with you and carrying you in times of your hardest trials. I will pray for Lindsey and your whole family but I will also pray for strength, calm, understanding and sanity for you and Stacy.

Jason,
Each of these moments are so scary. It makes me happy to think she is having a good morning. The few times we have been in the hopspital with our children it was always such a relief to me to see them smile.

Maybe today will be the day, but I think we should all grow our chin hair until Lindsey gets her new heart.

Be still, my soul: thy God doth undertake
To guide the present, as He has the past...
Be still, my soul: the waves and winds still know
His voice Who ruled them while He dwelt below

Dear Jason and Stacy, You continue to be the major player in our thoughts and prayers. Please give my love to Garrity and Hillary. They were some of my special girls in YW and have always held a special place in my heart. Love, Dale and Mike Olsen

@ Matt, if you and Jason don't mind, us ladies in the this huge chain of hope would like to be exempt from growing our chin hairs. Maybe we could grow, and braid, our leg hairs. The new campaign, "leg hairs for Lindsey". Jason, what a great time for Garrity and Hillary to arrive witht the family. Praying, praying, praying!!!! Don't worry about your sanity, "normal" and "sane" are HIGHLY overrated. You need to take up skipping whenever you travel the halls, it will lighten everyones day. Get the entire family doing it and see who joins you....

What did one hall say to the other?

I'll meet you at the corner.

Love and hugs and sunshine from Idaho,

Janet Hays and family

Have to tell you this: I just got a call from a guy in Reno, Nev., who'd seen the story about Sierra - he organizes a car club called "Nevada Rides." He describes it as a charity give-back tour, and they are stopping in Baker on June 9, 2013 for lunch. He wants to have a little car show, maybe have a local group do a lunch fundraiser, and then they donate money to their charity of choice - here it will be the Lindsey Lou Heart Fund! He also said he once worked at Lucile Packard, and that Lindsey is in the very best place.

How nerve racking this morning must have been for each of you...wow, I can't even imagine the feelings. With that being said I thought I should share this......Sarah Young's "Jesus Calling" reading for today....
I AM NEARER than you think, richly present in all your moments. You are connected to Me by Love-bonds that nothing can sever. However, you may sometimes feel alone, because your union with Me is invisible. Ask Me to open your eyes, so that you can find Me everywhere. The more aware you are of My Presence, the safer you feel. This is not some sort of escape from reality; it is tuning in to ultimate reality. I am far more Real than the world you can see, hear, and touch. Faith is the confirmation of things we do not see and the conviction of their reality, perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses. Acts 17:27-28; Hebrews 11:1 (amp)
Feel safe and pray to The Heavenly Father all of your anxiety and fears, so you will be able to feel safer. He will carry Lindsey and your family through this. We love you all so much and continue to pray that each of you will become stronger and find comfort and hope through this journey. We will pray for a quieter afternoon with less situations that may cause more anxiety. loves, hugs, and prayers xoxoxoxo

More prayers. Sometimes I can't breathe just thinking of what you are going through. But you and your family are such an inspiration of faith and hope for me. May the Lord bless you and keep you. And may the Lord bless Lindsey with a new heart.

Almost forgot the Joke of the Day:

Would you remember me in a day?
Would you remember me in a week?
Would you remember me in a month?
Would you remember me in year?
Knock, Knock.
Who's there?
I thought you said that you would remember me!

WOW! What a start to your day, glad for the happy turn-out, whew!
I amazed with the amount of people who are following your story! Many can't read your blog (for whatever reason) so I am asked how things are going. So many people are praying for your whole family as we know how far the effects reach :)
Keep your faith and trust in God strong, it's so easy to question why but do your best to let His will be done! God bless you all, love and prayers, M
