June 2, Rounds just finished

11:50 am.
Rounds just finished and my head is swimming. Not sure what to think.  They went over a lot of info on both kids.  Here is where we are at... 

Hopefully at 2:30 the vent will come off.  They are also going to take the folie out. So far the right side of her heart is hanging in there and a 2nd pump is not needed yet, but they are sure watching closely. She has been suspended from the transplant list, (isn't that just a good ole feeling) until she is a bit more stable.  She should be back on the list today after the surgeon gives the ok. 

Speaking of the list, today is Day 13 on the list, and even though she has been suspended (ugh) she doesn't loose her place.  My chin hair still hasn't grown enough I guess.  They said a heart did NOT come available since she went off.  If it did, please don't tell me about it.

Regarding Gage.  Turning down his Morphine, he is sleeping a bit to much.  He will get some Lasix to help with the fluid retention.  He is really puffy in the face, feet and hands.  Starting him back on Enalapril and the Beta Blocker.  Remember he is still in early stages of heart failure and they want to keep after it while he is here.  I thought they would wait until the pacemaker was healed up.

Amazing how that pain in my gut comes and goes by each report.  We have had psychology and Mary Burge, our social worker, come by.  Interesting they are not to concerned with Stacy, but they do ask me a lot of questions.  What's up with that?  My wife is so awesome.  We all know I married up.

Right now Lindsey and Stacy are picking out a movie.  Lindsey communicates by writing on a paper.  Her biggest request is a wet sponge in her mouth to rinse out the nasty taste from the vent and tubes.

Ripplingers just left.  That was very nice of them.

They turned down her vent some more in preparation for it coming out.
