June 2, The Berlin Video

5:45pm, This video is not for the faint of heart.  This is her Berlin Heart in motion, pumping like crazy.  It's 5:45 pm on July 2 and the vent is out. She has a small clot forming in the pump, but they say that is expected.  They have started her on heparin to thin the blood, but they are going to watch the Berlin very closely.  She still can't eat or drink for about 6 hours, but she can use the wet sponge to rinse out her mouth.

Gage is still pretty miserable. They came in to do another echo on him.  His heart is 'riding' the pacemaker heavily, so they wanted to see how his function was.  Haven't heard back on that one.  He is also quite puffy.  They started some Lasix to help pee off the fluid.  They say that is normal, but I'm a little sensitive to 'puffy' faces.  Gage has been moved down the hall, so Stacy and I play ping-pong back and forth between rooms.

To all of you we are praying for tou and each of my kids told me they would donate half their hearts. A long talk ensued and they understand now and each went to their rooms and said a prayer for all of you. Prayers will jeep coming from our house. Linda Illingsworth and kids!

Jason, I did just fine watching the Berlin Heart. In fact, I was really interested in it. Then I saw my precious little friend's face and absolutely lost it.
Give her a little hug for me ok. One to Sweet Gage too and Stacy.
I sure love you guys. You are really amazing!

Novalee and I watched the video together and when it showed Lindsey she had a tear in her eye then she smiled and said that's my friend mom and she's so strong I know she's going to make it. We pray for your family all the time. The Shoemakers

Wow, what an amazing video to watch the berlin at work, but incredibly hard to not be able to reach out and touch Lindsey Lou with a sweet little kiss. THANK YOU Stacy for doing that for me. My heartaches knowing the kids are still in pain and I just want to be able to give you all hugs and kisses. For now I will pray and pray harder than ever because I believe in miracles. Looks like Gage was able to test out quite the food sampler....hope his tummy is feeling better, too. Stay strong...loves to all of you--Bets

Jacee wants to watch this video every time she hears it. It is very interesting. You are on our minds all the time. The kids even made up a Lindsey Lou song, I'll try to get them to perform it for you guys and send it. Hang in there you are doing awesome. Hugs and kisses to the kids. The Thompson Family.

Jas & Stacy, I agree with Glenda - so incredibly thankful for medical science that makes the Berlin Heart possible and so sorry that your little one has had to experience it first hand. With Gage moving, does that mean he is out of ICU? You remain in all of our thoughts and prayers...Julie & kids
