July 27, Time to bake

8:10 pm.
Lindsey is officially off all IV's! The only thing she took with her on her walk earlier today was her Berlin. That's unbelievable.  They stop her feedings through her tube for 4 hours a day. Mostly when she goes for walks so she is FREE of all IV poles. Today for physical therapy she made our family recipe of chocolate chip cookies. It is their tricky way of working on upper body strength. She nibbled on a little brown sugar and ate a chocolate chip and saved the rest for everyone else (so nice of her). We are getting better and better about sticking to her schedule. It helps a lot to have some order in her day.

Jason and the kids just arrived After a 13 hour drive. Everything was great until the last hour with traffic, potty breaks and 'Are we there yet?'. We are ecstatic to see them. Jason brought some chard with him from our garden. They couldn't believe how much Lindsey has improved over the last 6 days. Amazing how 'at home' you feel when we are together. Maybe Sierra returns tomorrow and once again we will be all together. We have really missed her. All in all, things are amazingly well. I am so late on my update because we have been busy reading a book and enjoying the peaceful time. Sorry!

Dear Stacy and Jason, Dale and I are over joyed to see the photos of Lindsay doing so well and smiling! Glad the gang made it safely and I'm sure Jason was amazed and delighted to see the progress his little princess has made. When we were living in Alaska I sang with a womens choir called Cantora Arctica (cantoraarctica.org) They will be doing a benefit concert for the Binghams (and to raise awareness about organ donation) in February (a great month for heart songs.) With continued Love and Prayers---Dale and Mike Olsen

A string walks into a fancy restaurant and the snooty head waiter says, "I'm sorry we don’t serve strings here."
So the string goes outside puts on a hat and tie goes back in and the waiter says, "WE DONT SERVE STRINGS HERE!"
So the string goes outside takes off the hat and tie, tossles and messes his hair. He goes inside again and the waiter says, "Hey aren't you the same string from before?"
And the string replies, " No, I'm a frayed knot.

Pretty sure I can't beat a joke like that, Olsens!

LOVE LOVE LOVE seeing such an awesome post about Lindsey's progress, and a out you all being together...just as soon as Sierra gets there! I can't believe Lindsey felt good enough to bake cookies!! That just makes my heart all mushy! Big hugs, and continued answers to prayer!
Love, Karen

WOW, just isn't a big enough word to express how amazing it is to think about how far Linsdey has came in just the last few days...you are INCREDIBLE!! Just a little disappointed to be missing out on the awesome Bingham fam chocolate chip cookies...just one of many fantastic cookies Stacy has taught the kiddos how to make (and each of them superb, of course!!). What a delight it is to see those beautiful smiles...was Gage not all smiles after the long trip...or just to busy hugging on mom??!! Each step that Linsdey its making in her fancy sneakers makes her stronger and stronger and also a great reminder of how the power of prayers can do amazing things...we will keep on praying for Linsdey, the doctors, and donor families. Love you all so very much and hope tonight is a peaceful one...Jason could probably use that after the long drive!! bets xoxoxoxo

So glad to see Lindsey Lou looking SO amazing! I'm also thrilled that you are all together again (once Sierra gets back, of course!). But, DO NOT apologize about tardiness with the blog. I am so appreciative of the updates, but you need to take all the time you can to enjoy the simple things. Love you all!

Lindsey you are awesome!!! It is so good to see your smiling face. Justin and I were watching the opening for the olympics and they had a segement where the nurses and doctors were dancing with the children I wondered if you could get some of your doctors and nurses to dance with you. If anyone could convince them, it would be you!!! we love you Em and Justin
