He is out.

Gage came out around 12:45.  Talked to Katz and others on the team.  They put him on the HeartWare machine and everything seems to work well.  This means NO Berlin for now.  If over time the right side starts to fail, then they may need to replace with the Berlin, but for now we are good.  Chances are good he will NOT need the Berlin.  All good.

I asked about the pacemaker.  Is it still in and working? Katz said the pacemaker is still working and required for the right side.  The left side is now fully supported by the HeartWare, but the right side is still working on it's own and needs the pacemaker to keep in in line.

That is it for now.  They were happy with the results, so I guess we are happy.

2:40 pm, just went in to see him.  Unfortunately (and very creepy) this is our 7th time seeing our kids in this situation.  The only difference is the wires coming out of his left side just under his ribs, and they are talking a new language with the HeartWare.

Thank you all for the love, support, and comments.
Jason
This IS Gage-a-realeous or is it Gage-a-relius, or Gagearilious, or Guageareleous?
Stand by for more on this.

Been checking the blog all day for updates. So glad to hear that he's out and they were able to use the Heartware. But man, heartbreaking to see him like that and to hear that you've done this 7! times. Thinking of and praying for you all. -Tiffani Frandsen (and Payton :)
