8:30, He is in

8:30 am, Now the wait begins.  They are saying about 4 hours, around 12:30.  Gage did good over night.  In fact one of the senior fellows in the CVICU wanted to take a fresh look and see if Gage really needed this procedure.  I really appreciated that.  His condition improved just enough to at least consider postponing.  But that is all it was.  After the reconsideration by the team and fresh eyes from others they still believe the HeartWare or possibly the Berlin is the best way to go.  Katz will make that final determination while in surgery.

So here we wait.  It's 10:30.  Every 2 hours they update us on his condition.  They just came in and said he is stable and everything is going well.  Not exactly sure what that means, but we will take that.  I will let you know when Katz has made the final determination.

Now it is 12:00 noon. All we know is they are running a little behind.... nothing else.
