Moving Upstairs

Today, (very soon), Gage will move up to the 3rd floor out of the CVICU.  He is acting like himself for the first time since before transplant.  He has been up in a chair doing school work for most of the morning and is joking and laughing with the nurses and doctors.  It is so good to see him back.

His weight was up a little bit, so they are not getting the result they want from the oral diuretics. They adjusted the dose again and will see where that leads.  Tomorrow he has his 4th biopsy since transplant (Yes it has been a month now, crazy).  They will see if all the steroids have helped.  "Gaging" from his attitude and appearance I would be surprised if they are not good results.  His blood pressure is elevated due to the large doses of steroids.  This makes us a little nervous as he had his seizure due to high blood pressure.  He will start complaining of a headache when it gets a little high.  He is still on some anti seizure meds to help with the incidence recurring. They have increased his blood pressure medicine and added another one.  More just fine tuning with everything.  All good stuff!!
