Grass, grass everywhere, but not an elk in site!

Jason is going elk hunting with my brother Ryan in a whole new territory. He is going into the Eagle mountains. Thanks to his good buddy, Jarom, he received some incite on some good places to hunt. Never having hunted here before we decided to go up and check the area out. Justin and Emily were so nice to come with us. It was a very enjoyable, beautiful day.

All fresh and ready to start at the beginning of the trail.

An area on the trail where there was an avalanche in the winter.

It really made the huge trees look like toothpicks. Ohhh for the firewood!
Justin and Emily at Burger pass.

Half way there. Burger Pass, boy was it cooollllddd!

This was a really pretty meadow at the bottom of Burger Pass. If I was an elk I would definitely be here. But, of course, there was not a single sign of elk anywhere.

Practicing what it will be like on the elk hunt.

Taking a breather.

On our way back and Burger Pass did not get any warmer. Is she pregnant? Hmmmm...

Loving the M&M's ..

We did it!! It was a long day, but we made it.
