Shortly after returning from Lake Powell, Jason returned home to go on his 50 Miler scout hike. He returned from that and the very next day we headed to Burley, Id, for a long over due reunion with his college buddies. On our way there, we were approximately 1 mile from the exit, and we hit something that sounded like a rock. When Jason pushed on the brakes to start slowing down for the exit, there was this horrible grinding sound. We thought the wheel was going to fall off. We took the exit and kept going until we could find some kind of auto shop. Lucky for us, there was one the interstate not very far. Our van literally stopped in the driveway of the auto shop.

We feel very fortunate and blessed. We found out that a bolt had fallen out of the van that keeps the brakes in place. If this bolt had fallen out earlier and the brake had fallen it would have locked our wheel causing the van to wreck. Going at freeway speed, I am so glad we did not have to find out what that was like. We were so very glad that we had said a prayer before we left on our trip. We were definitely blessed with safe travel.

Once there in Burley, we had a wonderful time with Jason's college buddies. We enjoyed visiting and catching up with all of them. Thank you Nikki for putting this together. It was well worth it. It was really fun to see how their group has grown with all the children.

Sitting at the auto shop in Burley. Waiting for our van to be fixed.

Gage enjoying some time out of the van.

Fun times boating.

Sierra, Megan and McKenna Yeck, tubing behind the boat.

Listening to Leah sing beautifully at Nikki's house.

A picture of everyone and the kidlets.
