Family Halloween Party

This year was such a fun Halloween party year. Not only because of the party, but because we were able to have Justin and Emily's family and Bradey and Lacey's family with us. What a treat!! It was fun to have the extra hands to make all the doughnuts and spider cookies. When we first started this tradition, there were only a few kids that could do the doughnut on the string contest. How fun to have so many fun contestants this year. Thank you everyone for coming and making this a great tradition!!

Witches and fairies and Ute's oh my!! Don't forget the adorable little duck.

Spartan cheerleaders, vampires, transformers, cheerleaders, hippie and princess. Whew!!

Last but not least our USU basketball fan!

Let the games begin. "This whole having your hand behind your back is for the big kids. It is much easier to just grab it and eat it."

Random Fun Pictures

These are just some random fun pictures of our family in October. Jason and I were asked to be in charge of the music for the Stake Youth dance. It was a dress up dance, so we borrowed some Spartan uniforms from the Fritz's and cheered our way through the night. It was a lot of fun.

Lindsey got a hold of Aunt Garrity's non-prescription glasses and took these lovely pictures of herself. And, last but not least, Hunter found some pantyhose and decided to put them on his head and run around the yard. It was so hilarious watching him jump on the trampoline, we just had to take some pictures. I love my family!!

Living in the Country is Beautiful!

In September, we had this herd of elk come through our property. This is not abnormal. Usually at this time of year the elk go by or around us, as they are passing through. What was so different about this year, was that they actually stayed and camped out at our place for a couple days. It was so beautiful and amazing to look out our bedroom window and see this herd of elk sitting right out in our field.
The herd moved on and were gone after a couple of days and we thought that was that. However, about 3 weeks later, they came back and brought there friends. The herd had grown! There was a lovely six point bull that was amazing! Sometimes living in the country has its perks. The pictures are out of order. They start with the second time they came and end with the first time they came. Pretty fun though! The kids loved it, we had to keep Roper from running down there with his B.B. gun to "take them out"! Fun memories!

September Birthdays

September is our big birthday month. Not just our family birthday but our extended family birthdays. The 20th was Sierra's 11th birthday. I can't believe she is only one year from being in young women's. How lucky we are that we have had an additional 4 years with her and look forward to many, many more!

The 24th is Hunter's birthday. His biggest line is "I'm hungry" about every 5 minutes. Even after eating a large meal. His growth spurts shock me. I think there is a reason why I had dainty girls first. To prepare me for a growing grocery bill. Hunter is so funny and has such a great sense of humor. He makes us laugh most every day.
