Oregon Deer Hunt

Oregon Deer hunt always fun. Kids look forward to it. Family gets together.
It's nice to keep a 28 year tradition alive.

Sierra, Megan, Michon and Ashley heading back to camp.

Josh and I found a spring down deep in Packsaddle. It was a good find because we were out of water, and had a long ways to go.

Not seeing any deer so Josh and took a snooze.

Cousin's having fun in Log Creek.

Again, the spring was a nice find.

Out of that spring hole, we kicked out a nice bear. Didn't have a tag so I got out the camera and took some photo's. Jake and I wanted to go back after this guy with his bear tag, but the weather on Monday was not in our favor.

Josh is pointing at the spring, and where we saw the bear.

The Bingham siblings. Justin is pretty proud of the deer he help Nick find, shoot, and pack.

Deer camp crew.

There first official date. Garrity invited Seth O'Crawley to deer camp. It was nice to have some 'fresh meet' in camp. The kids love him. On February 14 he popped the question.

Jake and Roper in the mouth of the 'Bear Cave' in Log Creek monday morning.

Nick's NICE buck! Came out of packsaddle. Biggest buck this area has seen in a long time.
This is look UP at Packsaddle from the road.
Fence Creek.
Another shot of Packsaddle.

Wyoming Deer Hunt

This year I was invited with the uncles to the sacred Wyoming Deer Hunt.
It was a week of being with my Dad, Uncles Allen, Jay and Ron, and Eli, seeing big country, and having a shot a nice buck.
Eli shot a BIG buck on the opening day. I hunted most of the day by myself and shot my buck right at dusk (that was fun). Uncle Ron shot his 4 point off 'Ron's Rock' on the 2nd Day.

Dad and I treed a bear. THAT was exciting. We had plenty of time to take pictures.
Ron wanted me to go back to town and get a bear tag while he waited by the tree. Sorry maybe next year.

The trophy rock and the end of the hunt.

Looking out from Ron's Rock #1.

Eli's deer. NICE buck!!

Just finished gutting out my deer. I shot him right at dusk. It was dark when I finished. I was trying to take a picture by holding out the camera. Notice the flesh hanging from by USU hat.

Next morning next to my new 300 Short Mag.

Dad, Eli and I packing all the deer out. Just loaded Ron's deer. Ron's Rock is at the top of the ridge.

Just loaded my deer. 3 deer '4 points' on 1 horse. That was exciting. Ron never knew how big (or small) his deer was till the hunt was over and we were back to the trucks. We had a lot of fun with that.

Dad and I were riding thru some country and kicked out this bear. We went back to look for it. Not sure why, neither of us had a gun. Ron was watching over us at the top of the ridge. We were looking for it, when it ran up the tree Dad was standing under. Pretty exciting!!

Last morning, saw a cow and calf moose. Very big animals.

Packing up and heading home. Uncle Ron on his horse (name??) and packing 'Elvis.

Uncle Allen and Jay packing up the horses.

Couple of pictures from 'Trophy Rock' back at base camp.
